I installed the splitter and ffdshow again, with ALL THE BOXES checked. it works now when I open it with the classic media player. Going to check it out.

I gotta be honest, I thought it was terrible. A lot of the frags themselves are of course amazing, but the random speed ups, the extra shit they added in, the motion blur, it all ruins it for me. I want to see actual in game footage, not a composure that would appeal to a hobby gamer or a non-gamer.

Good stuff! I think my favorite shot was of the long distance midair rocket impact where it was reflected in the doomguy's visor just before it nailed him. Sweet!

This is nothing more than a hardcore Q3 gameplay montage 'prettied up' for those who appreciate that stuff. Not for everyone.

I enjoy watching player demos more than I do regular tv. I used to download and study all the quake 1 recorded matches I could find, partly out of a desire to learn from my betters, but also out of sheer appreciation for 'the dance'. =]

Goddamn that was cool. I never played q3 competitively, nor was I very good at it, so I have to wonder if most of those rocket and grenade shots were lucky hits.

Some of them seem much to bizarre to be planned (like a lot of the grenade kills), but even some of the rocket shots seemed a bit far fetched to really be showing off players "skill".

Like I said, I'm a total noob when it comes to q3 so I could be wrong, but either way it was a cool video.

a few were luck, there are some that were obviously guess-shots and someone had happened to jump by and get nailed but, you don't hit someone with a rocket three times in a row until they gib on accident. i've played someone that good and it was really insanely frusterating, they could have been using a cheat, but something about the way they played made me think otherwise. like if i was really irratic they couldn't predict where i was going to go, would have loved to met the guy.
