Now comes with nice features like a modifier stack (not as pervasive as MAX's, though, just for some "after" effects like mirroring or attaching to a skeleton), envelopes (well, if you need 'em...), new IK and multiplayer support*! Face off against other artists on the 'net, even those that don't use Blender!

*= Available in separate build, scavenge the forums for that.

Sounds nice, though I doubt that 'multiplayer' will be used much.

I'm looking forward to the animation upgrade, but I still find the poly modelling tools difficult to use. I miss Maya's poly cutting tool.

hmmm, the multiplayer mode sounds like a great teaching/critiquing tool.

Technically it's Verse integration and apparently they managed to tie Maya into it, too. So no need to learn Blender if you're looking for a "paintchat" with models.
