LOL Jackie Robinson foundation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scholarships for minority students????? WTF???? LOL..... that is the dumbest pos I've ever heard... hey our workers are being overworked and are suing us, oh ok, heres a chunk of money, go away, oh and if you don't take all of it give the rest to ummm.... *glances through possible charities* oh yeah scholarships for minority students, yeah that sounds good...
As far as the charity thing, the lawsuit wanted to wring out as much money as possible from EA. And I guess some money might be left over... so its gotta go someplace right? Kind of an odd charity to choose though... but whatever floats their botat.
maybe they;'ll figure out one day that when a large number of employee's sue you, it usually means they are unhappy. Unless their needs are addressed then the problem will just resurface later on. Usually with more momentum.
Isn't cause and effect something that large corp admin types should understand by now? I eman...software is about 'people' they should learn howto manage their most valuable resource.

It sounds like its a change the work force will get used to. Those effected will more than likely leave and the new hires will wonder in with big doe eyes and not think anything of it. Until they meet the few hold outs, who will taint the newbies with talk of how things where. They will be labled as disgruntled or problems within the department and for some reason or other be pressured to leave or out right let go. EA will continue to move forward and crush any employee lead upriasings. Some employees MIGHT try but it each attemtpt will be less and less sussesful. All this attempt did was make it harder for employees to get any kind of restitution in the future. The lawyers where going for a big fat stack of money, EA gave it to them, they told thier clients to back down. Or so the story reads from the outside. Really the only way I see employees getting what they want is to unionize, and that won't happen since they only pissed off the newbies who are thankful they no longer have to talk out of the giant menu at Mc-Fatties.
I saw the article on CNN.com this morning and then I checked my e-mail only to find that somone from EA Orlando had been interested in hiring me. I politely declined.
