Who's in San Fran?

Got a promotion at my 'day' job so I'll be going to San Jose for some training this week (very short notice!) I'll be hanging with my counterpart in San Jose (very cool guy) and he suggested going down to San Fran for a little site-seeing. I'm in the Cupertino area (just a few miles from the evil empire.. ahem... Apple). And as I always do, I will chime in now to say San Fran isn't the only damned place in this area to visit!
santa cruz, monterey, and if you like outdoorsy we've got the redwood forests a ten minute drive away.. among other outdoors places.
not to say you shouldnt visit SF, just mentioning the other often forgotten tourist traps.. er.. spots.. in this area.
