Yeah, but this was 'shining'...coulda been a different film! The part that freaked me out is he looks about 30 years younger than he *should. Around the cold medicine, my mind was going 'whoa...lay off the botox and hair plugs, Jacko!'
/ETA - I think I would have liked it better if I'd actually seen The Shining.
I heard about these on NPR about a year ago, and the one, where they made "the Sound of Music" sound like a horror Film, complete with echoes of "Doe a Deer", combined with creepy violins and atonal pianos, was brilliance.

Well, I found the original trailer
but it really only shows how different the movie industry handled trailers back then, I wish they did it like this nowadays instead of giving the whole movie away in condensed form.
Wheee! Brilliant. Now everyone should be comfortable NEVER TRUSTING ANY PIECE OF MEDIA YOU SEE EVER.
Makes me think of how I realized that while documentary is supposed to depict what's actually happened, the principles of 'reality TV' are the opposite, taking the footage they have and editing it so that it appears the way they want. Oh, it's 'they' again, is it?
Y'know, seeing this and how they changed one thing so masterfully into another that it actually fooled (an admittedly drug addled) Tins makes me wonder about 9/11, and the complete destruction of those towers. After all, if a guy in his attic can do this, just think what the Government can do...
Oh, no, I'm just blowing smoke out of my arse, sorry!
Really good "trailer" though. One of three things that made me laugh my butt off today, almost made up for the last two weeks of shitty hell.

Real nice work, but it's tough to nail that movie trailer voice. I'll have to show this to my film nerd friends.

"It's okay, he saw it on the television..."

Only pointing out that he brought that up, and not me. That's all I'm going to say.
