collapse the stack and reset xforms.. dont know if that will fix it but its always the first thing i try when anything is wrong.. reset xforms is the magic "fix unknown problem button" in max
Hmm, I've never seen anything like that happen before!
Some things I'd check:
- Make sure any sort of Snaps are not accidentally set in the UV window.
- See what the Decimal accuracy of the unit setup is, it's somewhere in the Customize settings or general Max preferences, maybe the program does not have enough positional accuracy to get the points exactly where you want them? That's highly unlikely though.
- Reset XForm may well help, like arsh says it's pretty handy like that.
My best guess would be it's an accidental Snap setting somewhere, though, so it's just moving the verts to the nearest best location...
MoP, that's what I thought it was at first, but all the snap settings are off. It could be the positional accuracy as I did mess with those settings when I first installed.
Try to toggle the snap on and off. I've had many times where the pixel snap in the uv window would become toggled but not display as being toggled. The same thing happens with my override keyboard shortcuts. It's awesome.
look ironbear, what you have to do is unplug your computer, count to 1025.. plug it back in.. open notepad and save a blank txt document called nweoirh3983203.txt.. save this in your max directory. now you have to start max while holding down the "t" and "+" keys.. once max is open, close it and make another blank txt flie named 88d_dis88.txt.. save this in your system32 foler and restart your computer..
while your computer is restarting press the keys that are needed to go into your computers bios settings.. change the date on your comuter to year 1999..
this UV error was a product of the y2k bug.. nobody has fixed it yet.. this is the only work around known according to discreet.. hope this helps..
