What brushes do you use?

I was curious as to what brushes some of you guys use when making head textures. I've gone over some of the video tutorials, and just can't seem to get the stroke the person in the video is getting.

If your not using default brushes, would you mind posting the links to the brushsets you use?

Thanks guys, its much appreciated. This whole painting thing is starting to really irritate me...I can model and UV just fine..its just the painting department I'm really lacking the skill and experience in.

Are you using a drawing tablet? I use regular hard and soft round brushes in Photoshop 7, nothing special.

Yeah, I just use the standard brushes - usually with constant size, but stylus pressure set to opacity.

Okay then you're using the same software-tablet setup as me. The only setting I modified from the default hard round brushes is the flow. I have it set to 70%. Opacity, I tend to also use 70%, but use lower (10-30%) for dark colors and higher for highlights (90-100%). Also, large brushes for most everything, and small brushes (9 and below) for details.

if you are using ps7, go up to the brushes menu...go to shape dynamics and the other dynamics tab. play with pen pressure on those.
