I started my first female model last night, tifa from ff7, and got up this morning and started some editing, I need some crits, because I have never done this before, the alpha mapped hair the female features, etc...
A clean front and side view wireframe (no hair) can help get a better technical crit. Female faces are hard enough as it is, a perspective view with hair polygons all over it doesn't do much for crits, but great for hiding errors.
Only reason I havn't gone any further is because there is alot I can see wrong, but not sure where to start , crits are very much appreciated.

After seeing the last pic i posted, I took some self crits and fixed the flow around the mouth and in other places, i think its alot smoother, and cleaner now:
I can't see if you've fixed it along with your flow adjustments already but the loops from the side of her head shouldn't just go down, instead they should form the jaw edgeloop.
Thats what im doing . Well here is a little update...im just gonna model it in parts for now, i cant stick with the head forever, not getting much help :S.
"Andrew Loomis was a respected and prolific illustrator and teacher. His instructional books have become some of the most sought after art books in the last decades. Most of his books have been out-of-print for decades, and command prices of hundreds of American dollars for a second-hand copy.
To the youngest generation of aspiring artists that grew up with the internet, the Loomis books have become something to be taken for granted, and not regarded nearly as seriously as should be. This is unfortunate, because to those of us that understand the significance of the Loomis books, it's as if people are passing up the chance to be taught by one of the best art teachers that ever lived--FOR FREE"
