size ref.. ~25 ft end to end, ~11 ft tall (and another 2ft into the ground).
the larger square tubing is 1.5", the smaller cross pieces are 1", and the in-the-cement ground pieces are 2". All welded together with my new MIG welder. The vertical section closer to the house is two halves bolted together since it comes together around the main vine. The main ladder across is two 10ft sections bolted together midway (we couldn't fit any longer pieces in the Avalanche).
A fun lil first project for learning welding with. Going to be getting an oxy-acetylene torch soon, so who knows what i'll be makin next.

Lol.
Looks great, Flaagan. I never used MIG welders in class, only stick welders. Still fun either way. I did a lot of work with Oxy/Acet welding though, such as brazing and hard soldering. Very cool stuff though, would like to see more
clipped off all the dead and non-manageable vines and zipped-tied remaining vines to the trellis.
The purpose of the angle-out at the top is double-fold. Currently we're doing this to hold the vine away from the overhang so it doesnt grow into that anymore; if / when we add the second story we're planning, there will be a balcony, and this will hold the vine up to the balcony's level but away from it so the vine doesn't overgrow onto that.
Looks cool man, nice project.
