Been living in Holland for close to 2 weeks now, must say i really like it here, different pace of living and Amsterdam rocks, every weekend so far ive been there out and about doing one thing or another. Anyway here are a few pics ive taken in Holland, most have been in Amsterdam but a few are in Purmerend where i currently reside.
This is one of the main buildings near the Central Train Station.
Welcome in the Netherlands, JO420! And nice pictures, I recognize a lot of those places, since I live near Amsterdam aswell. I enjoyed reading your blog too. I'm always very interested in the perspective foreigners have of my country.
If you want to buy games in the Netherlands - I can recommend the Gameshop in Den Haag - They have almost every game available in the Netherlands. Which company are you working for actually?
BTW: If you have any questions about the Dutch language, don't be afraid to ask them - I would be more than happy to answer them.
The cost of living is higher than the states, but for me the tradeoff is in transportation, over here i do not need a car,nor do i need car insurance and gas so that offsets the cost of living.
Nucleartes: i work in streamline studios, thanx for the offer on language help ive picked up a few basic expressions words and as i incorporate what i know i try to pick up new words and expressions.
So far ive done quite well with english and spanish.
The architecture there has to be quite an inspiration. The buildings in your pics are very cool. Too bad people don't take that much time in details anymore.
