I spoke on the phone with Dante(VP of product development) earlier today and was told to drop by tommorow. He told me on the phone that they're were working with the Source Engine which got me extra psyched. This would be my first job

We all know how much UED3 rocks (Epic's making sure of that) but I don't think we've seen all of Source's potential yet, even with that souped up expansion level. Best of luck man!

Went well I'll create a small environment as an art test. They really liked my stuff; they werent so sure it was mine since I'm just out of high school and havent had any formal training/education.

lol, I love how hung up employers get on College degrees, especially in the computer fields. Most people coming out of high school now, have been using/programming on computers for years. Usually they are more advanced/talented than the students coming out of college. I guess it's just a process that'll never change though

I created the asset for Kuma and got paid. They offered me a job with doing 1/2 art and 1/2 customer support; I wasnt into it so I didnt take it. But while talking with Kuma I was also in contact with another dev, Gaia http://www.gaiaindustries.com/ Went in; very cool project, experienced+cool people, new office so I took the offer. Its an internship(all art) but I know that my skills will really benefit from working and learning from the lead artist. The project(stating info from Gaia's site) is a next gen title! I'm soooooooooo psyched to have this as my first working experience.

I have to go to a design meeting this Tuesday and start the following Monday(17th)
