Release should be in october-ish. I'm not sure when the 64 bit version will be available, it's somewhat dependant on when a 64 bit operating system will be available. (Longhorn...?)
I did see someone running it on a laptop, had a 13 million poly scene open, using 1 gig of textures, and navigating around the textured viewport. Looked impressive.
ScreaminBubba: My laptop runs 64-bit edition Windows XP, so I guess the 64-bit edition of Max8, if and when it is released, would take advantage of that?
