Really diggin this band...where I currently live everyone is into country music and I just want to open up a vein every time I hear it. This band on the other hand has a great "unplugged" feel, great lyrics using different (good) vocalists but none of that country "TWANG" to it. I'm just looking for a song that has been pretty popular, a really jammy guitar/violin instrumental and can't seem to find it. I only have their self-titled album though. Anyone know which one I'm talking about?

The band kicks ass. THey are some real talented musicians.Country has come a long way. There's a lot of good stuff out there.

There really is actually. We have a great independent country station here in Dallas that concentrates mostly on Texas musicians, older (better) stuff, and a lot of the smaller independent labels.

Still there is an oveabundance of shlockey, poppy Tim McGraw crap still coming out of Nashville over the radio

[/ QUOTE ] I agree. You DO have to wade thru the TWANG to get to hear the good stuff. Not unlike any radio, however.....there still junk you have to listen to while waiting for better tunes, ya know?
