So the demo is now out (check Fileplanet). I gave it a whirl this morning. The idea behind it is pretty cool and I actually had fun with this one. I like the idea of it being a TV show and what-not... I just wish it got to the point a little quicker. It seems the you vs. grunts thing is just there for filler.

I was searching for a review after staring at the game in stores for some time now. Found a review but it didn't give any real idea of the fun. I also found the demo that way. Urk, that feels like a B-level game. The game logic seems to run at a low framerate or something and the combat seems rather stupid to me (more like "tank" than anything else). Controls feel floaty, kinda like the PC version of Red Faction 2 or maybe Breed, not up to par.

I didn't care for the screenshots of BoS, so when the demo came out I tried it to give it the benefit of the doubt. It's a neat concept, but the excution just wasn't there for me. Also the breathing and armor clanking being louder than a war going on around me was annoying. The first part of the demo was real buggy for me too. I kept getting stuck in that damn room full of people I couldn't kill no matter how much I shot or grenaded them.
