Your zbrush request sounds like warez asking for a crack.
no, i dont want a crack..i wanna know if theres something i can say to prove i own it..so i can send the info to the creators of zbrush(pixologic). because, as of now..i really have no proof..and i dont want to throw away a cd..i COULD use. anyways, thanks for the topic..i might just dload the zbrush demo..then buy it later on full price. because all the work i see with it makes me mad that i cant get mine

Ever thought about sending pixologic the copy of zbrush through postal delivery?
you want Wings and Gimp. there is no "best". if there was, we'd all be using it.
if someone recommends you download 3ds max, put your hands around his neck and choke him til he is dead. and then kill him.
Heres link:

If a dumbass like me can use it, it must be good! It's python-powered, and exporters/importers are written in Python, so you could tweak them if you know what you doing.
shame the commercial-level free software want your info in exchange for an auth code, so perosnally i wouldn't call that free. heh
Depends on where you live, some countries outlaw that term.
The_Synj, the best way to find the best app for yourself is to look. Go to each company's website and look into all the features they provide. Try their demo/educational/modtool versions if they provided them. Spend time learning their workflows. Read reviews. Ask questions.
holy crap i haven't mentioned blender yet, it's totally free

well..i have blender xD and damn i must be stupid..because its hard , lol..the problem i have is the views..and some of the tutorials arnt up to the newest version...so it pisses me off to try and do them. im also downloading max now..i know its not the easiest program. but i hear it gets good results, wich is what i am aiming for.
main problem with blender-i did the making a girls face tutorial..but when i get to the part where it says to add a bg..i do so..just like he says..but no BG shows up
alot of anger here latly. hopefully thatl end soon.(tutorial can be found at blender3d.org..or was it blender.org?).
another note: why do people seem to think Zbrush is a really good program? ive seen the awesome work it does..but is it simple or something?<==just curiouse.
Thanks for all your comments guys..it really helps just wanna get ahold of something to help learn..im only 14, so im doing this a bit early(so i hear...)
Now go wax my car. sand my floors, then paint my fence.
Nothing is simple until you learn the process, then it becomes simple young grasshoppa.

IM CONFUSED ..i think ill try to do another blender tutorial..lol. maybe ill get it eventually
I'd recommend some interface tutorials (so you know how to use your app) and then some general tutorials (so you learn how to model), usually all the functionality shown in them applies to all apps.
But its as "easy" as any other professional package out there...
If you d/l it do the tutorials that come with it tp get hang of the tools (applies to most of the software).
then try wings. or go and spend a very small amount on silo.
at the end of the day they all do the same stuff.

Someone asked pretty much the same thing a little while ago. You may want to check out this topic: best./easiest 3D program? A lot of different tools where mentioned and discussed in it. Milkshape is not a very powerful application indeed when it comes to modelling - you can still use it as an export tool though.
If you want a free modelling tool you should try out some of these tools and pick your own favourite. It all depends on what you want to do with it. However, it's important to remember that your work will not instantly improve just by using a better program. Practice and patience are the key to succes.

*buzzer* INCORRECT!
I would say download all 3 major "free" software packages, maya ple , softimage XSI , and max in eval mode, and try them out , see what you like.
[/ QUOTE ]
do that. all packages do the same basic thing, it's really which interface you prefer
you missed the link within the second post of this thread.

Well, I always thought there should be a single list with all important links. It's much easier to find what you're looking for that way. Especially when everything is categorized.
The_Synj: you need to learn the general guidelines of modeling. look for tutorials that aren't app specific, or follow those for other apps, and use Wings3D commands in their place.
