give photoshop n00b some help and tuts?

Greetings!
I am an avid game modder (UT series specifically) and have self taught myself UnrealED and Lightwave 8.0 over the past several years. I am now moving on to skinning and making graphics, but I am a TOTAL Photoshop noob!
Does anyone have some links to some very good (and free!) online tuts for Photoshop CS? Seriously, I need to understand Layers and whatnot. I cant even get most of the renders to unlock to use them!!
