yes, old blabbermouth won't be stopping by so much anymore. after 5 years of being around, i've noticed lately that i'm posting less and reading less. so i figure, why bother then?
Why do you feel you need to post and read a specific amount to be able to stick around? That's the point of a forum; you aren't required to do anything. Pop in when you feel like it.
It's an amazing phenomenon that happens on every forum I've ever been too. People somehow get the idea that they have to "leave", instead of just moderating their time (no pun intended).
I haven't shown any work on here since... hell, have I ever shown work on here? I think I posted one crappy model a while ago, or something. Come to think of it I'm a total slacker But like I said, it doesn't really matter what I do. It's just a forum.
I've often wondered about these 'goodbye' posts.
Personally only done these before in a forum where most people don't like me.. cause well it's fun to torment them.
Most others are like crys for attention. I hardly had 10posts in the last 5years, the recent overhaul was nice though. I was able to get my original username back.
If your a member or not should be about if you feel you want to be part of a community. Obviously your done so, erm bye.
Sundance, you're like furniture here. If you leave there'll be a crushed spot in the carpet where you used to stand. I don't comment as much here either but Polycount is a check in spot for my daily routine. There are people here I still like to read and you are one of them. You ad insight and a certain humor that would be missed. You can still be around and not post as much, ok?

I took a break for over a year, got burned in hell on another forum (but got lots of sketching practice in)
you'll be back. Polycount has quality, not like those other huge faceless "my post dissapeared to page three in 5 minutes" forums.

you post less, so you should stop altogether?

But i never cared about it either, modeling/skinning skills are more vital than it, when's the last time sundance reviewed/skinned anyhow
I used to have a huge-ass postcount myself on the old board, like 4700 or so
But i never cared about it either

And yet, you never seem to stop mentioning it.
No reason to have a "formal" leaving. Just leave.
It's the unannounced ones that stick.
