Firstly, this is a fantastic tutorial and I'd highly recomend it to everyone who's looked at the interface and been turned off by the seemingly bizarre layout and function of it all. Nice work, Mistah Poop, sir.
Now my question is how I'd go about creating an animatable low poly character if I've modelled with Z-Spheres without mucking up the UVs for the normal mapping? It seems like it'd be a little impractical to try and build the joint geometry with ZSpheres, so what exatcly would the procedure be here?

I don't really understand the question as I showed in the video how to import stuff into max and still use it to generate normals. Why can't you just make cuts in it in max?
