Could someone point me to a utility or method of importing quake md3 files into maya 5.5 or 6.5?

Try milkshape and export to *.Obj to open in Maya

I have an importer script, grabbed it from the Quake Rally boys a few years back for Maya 4.5; it works in 5.0 and 6.0
Not tried it in 6.5, or 7.0 (didn't think 7 was released yet, only pre-order). Gimme a few hours I'll check my archieves for it.
Also might still be online at

lol, I STILL sometimes play through the original quake rally for q1!
I shall check out the milkshape method cuz I don't have authority to re-install 4.5 on this machine that has 6.5
