Well I make it a habit of annually cleaning out my case, with this summer heat my cpu and case temps got pretty high and the inside of the case got pretty dusty.

So i took a little break from work today to clean out my case and organize it better. I like to keep things looking clean without and LED's and decals. I used rounded ide cables for a year but gone back to traditional flat cables and as you can see it's a whole lot neater...

i got at least 6-7 degrees improvement in cpu temps

If you have any stories or tips and trick on how to keep your case clean and neat be sure to share them smile.gif

I don't know about how to set up a proper airflow in a case, I just remove the side and ocassioanlly use a vacuum cleaner and earsticks.

BTW, those pics break the page formatting for me, might want to thumbnail them, scrolling horizontally is a PITA.

well as far as i know negative pressure is good, which means more air pushed out instead of in. I have 2 case fans as well as 2 psu fans blowing out.. and 1 window fan blowing in.

as far as calbes i try to keep them neat and concealed which means a lot of folding and zip ties smile.gif

well i guess it all depends on what you got in there.. My case is a total mess but then again i have multiple cd/dvd-roms and 3 different HDDs with all their cables crowding it up. So no see trough sidepanel for me hehe.

yah that might a problem, however with effort you can still clean it all up, folding IDE cables and running them along flat surfaces is a breeze and if you got a good case hiding the rest of the cabling should be hard either...

it pays off in the long run, or maybe i am just a near freak
