Dang, finally made the move. I am sooo tired. LA seems cool enough, but I'll have to find out more over time. My first day at Neversoft is tomorrow and I'm looking forward to that. I'm gonna miss the art team at Mythic, especially Mojo and Doc_Rob, *cry*. At least I stole Arshlevon to keep me company.

LA will seem much cooler once you start checking out the museums. Get yourself over to the Getty as soon as possible, LACMA (LA County Museum of Art) is great for a little bit of everything, and if you're into the modern art, there's MOCA and the Geffen.

If you want to keep up your 2D skills, check out the Animator's Union for cheap classes taught by amazing artists.

When E3, Siggraph, and the San Diego Comic Con roll around you'll find it much easier to hop on the freeway to get there than having to book a flight and hotels and all that jazz.

I worked at Treyarch before moving up to Seatle and Activision seems like a good publisher to work for, and I've had friends at Neversoft that said it was a great developer to be at. Good move man.

If you have any questions about the area in general, just let me know. I grew up in OC and lived in the valley for about 5 years. The cost of living isn't really all that bad, unless you're eating out all the time and clubbing it every weekend. Rent isn't too bad if you look around, but if you ever want to buy a house, forget it.

Yeah I'm working on GUN. Today was my first day and I gotta say I had a blast. I can really see myself enjoying this place. Already half way done my first character. Woo Hoo!
