Its not murder, I only shoot what i can eat, and them was visious
Man you are psychic, yes shes been out a bit, and her parents were here so i had to keep out of the way, actually I have been thinking about you an awful lot lately whilst she has been gone
Yes the wires are the shutter release , two bits of aly foil, when they get shot they make contact, well at least on the third pic with a bit of splatter but the camera was too slow to get the actual thing really pumping out, so in the first two its the same thing but the foil shorts the flash out directly (guessed the flash distance should have been nearer hence a bit under exposed), with the camera on open all the time but with the whole setup inside a blacked out cardboard box. I guess they should be about 30 cm after the tomato (930 fps) to get the most ketchup effect, to somewhere between the second pic where the contact is after the tomato and third pic with most blood flying around where the camera shutter was used.
Hopefully if i get the distance right and get a good shot it will look better, but not sure if a black or grey background would be better next time? perhaps i will lose some of hte high contrast splatter if it is black, and how to hold the victim in place without seeing the support too much? any sugestions?
LOL, well that rather puts paid to my humble attempt, but they were my very first 3 shots at shooting shots. I wonder what kind of flash he uses, mine just isn't fast enough (all my kit can be found under the kitchen stairs)to freeze the action, and getting the timing right is hard, i guess sound is good because its not visable, perhaps a microphone and amp with speaker output to short the flash? Sugestions of other ways where spending money isnt involved?
Hey sal the slugs out of my humble air rifle, a bit suped and firing 22s at a little under the speed of sound, 930/1080 fps . I dont think i can get away with firing the 565 in the bathroom . BTW thanks a bunch for that bloomin pic

You always know how to wake up the Amazing Randy.
I love Edgerton's work:
I believe he always fired the flash through an acoustic switch of sorts. Nicer without the wires in the way
