Is this even possible? One of my favorite things about Maya was the ability to control the camera using only the ctrl, alt, and 3 mouse button keys, and I'm wondering if there is any possible way to get Max to work like this...
those buttons are all I use to move the cam in max,
middle mouse: grab and move view up/down left/right
ctrl+alt+middle: zoom in/out
alt+ middle: rotate
shift+rotate/move cam- constrain to first axis you move on
In max 7 you can fly the camera around using the w,a,s,d keys like in quake and the mouse button to look around. Check the help file for the button name, its one of the ones botton right hand side that has a 'more tab'... drag it down to get the little feet icon.

Ohh thats why...middle mouse button for all of them...In Maya its a little different, with the right mouse button being used for most of them...
