Hi, I've made a custom knife model for CS1.6 but only the left arm can be seen with the right one (and its accompanying knife) not on screen. I haven't changed any of the original animations, and I've even tried moving the knife further into the screen (with Milkshape) so maybe it will become visable, but it doesn't. When the knife slashes I can see the blade in the center of my view for just a moment before it disappears again. Here's a pic to show my problem: http://storage.msn.com/x1pWogJ9QHvrjqs3d..._T1WQB1W232QWJQ

Any help would be great. Thanks.

It looks like you made one arm, then copied that for the second arm. Did you remember to invert your faces on the right arm?

Select the arm and then select Face / Reverse Vertex Order from the menu along the top.

Hi, actually I didn't. I made both arms from scratch (if you can call them arms lol). Both have their triangles the right way because you can see the textures facing up.

EDIT: I've had another go of messing around with the right arm and once again seperating the knife further out from the limb. For some reason it has worked and I can see the knife in-game, but the arm is still off screen. I don't understand why this should be because the right arm is perfectly aligned with the bones. Should I simply select the entire right side and push it deeper forward, totally ignoring the bones? Very puzzling.

2ND UPDATE: I think the decompile process can 'sometimes' screw up the model. The 'origin' needed resetting I think. In the QC file I've added "$origin 0 +10 +5" to realign the arms and now everything is in view.
