Fixed teh hole in his crotch i dont know how that got there! :O Reuploaded if you care to redownload it. Sorry, the FBX isnt exporting UV's i dont know why.
Isis, 3050 Tris.
Adam: Looking good man.
Artem, looks friggin great. Love it.
neo.. there's still duplicated poly's all up the right side of his back.
i've created a .scn file and .obj file from xsi (thanks to derelict for filtering the original .obj through maya to make sure the uv's transferred!) with the cleaned up model. He's scaled down quite a bit in size from the original file to fit onto xsi's default grid.
you can grab the file here: http://studioflaagan.com/files/armorhim_F.zip
neo.. shall i remove my .zip? i dunno if any other xsi users will want it or not.. anyone?
anyways.. started on my guy.. was first cursing the 'rolled up baggy pants' look the model had, but figured out it'd work nicely for an undersea type of outfit..
==see below for newer pict==
Cheating now.
Was just playing around and got nicer results than actually trying. But since I turbosmoothed some bits it's over the limit, thought you might still like to see it though. Face mask is done fair und square though...
ended up at 3039 tris, definitely a fun lil project, i'll try and get it done this week
i'd like to toss out the request for a female model for a thread along the lines of this one, preferably one tall and slender (a more 'athletic' figure).. no premade outfit design if possible
ah now a female model would certainly be a good base for a challenge in the challenge forum, er, would be wrong to do this in the challenge forum now because of it's existing longevity. PM one of us if you want your female armoured from the 14th.
Nice specular Cholden. Great idea for this thread N30, and Pior you are rocking it! as usual. Now I need to go buy wario twisted for a certain frenchman!
Great stuff getting done in here.
Mr Smo: I really enjoy the chestplate and the teeth. You could probably lose some of that wear off the top of the helmet though. It's making it look very polygonal instead of rounded (that is if it's suppose to be round in the first place).
cholden: Very nice.
Finished modeling the bomber yesterday. The insides are modeled on the harness so the pieces can break away. Poly count came out to 2911.
