Hey guys, I just got Call of Duty because i saw my brother play the demo, Its a fantastic game ill give it that, But for some reason its glitch only on my computer..

My brothers specs
AMD Athlon 64 3200 2.4ghz
512RAM
Geforce 5500FX OC
My Specs
Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.0ghz
1gbRAM
Geforce 5500FX OC

We have about the same computer in comparison.. But for some reason when i play it i get a weird dynamic lighting glitch or something.. take a look.

Thats when im near some light.. a whole bunch of black spots will flicker on and off of him really fast and it gets really annoying...

Yes i updated my driver, i tried almost every combination to change the settings in the COD Settings and it still didn't work.. It runs great on my bros comp.. and i member having this game installed on my computer before i defragged it and it ran exactly the same as my brothers.. so i don't know whats up maybe you guys do.

Well, the lighting engine from Quake 3 isn't too sophisticated. Have you tried messing around with any of the advanced graphical settings? *edit* yeah you did sorry smile.gif

The OC in "Geforce 5500FX OC" is over clocked? If so try turning it back to normal. I had CoD running on a Geforce4 4600TI for a VERY long time and had no issues. So you shouldn't have to to OC a 5500FX to get CoD running smooth.

You say you updated your video drivers? How about rolling back to one that is older? I would try the 56.72 drivers from nvidia's archive. Since that is the driver I was using. Also since it looks like you are the over clocking type make sure to check your CARD settings and make sure you are not trying to force the game to use something it wouldn't.

Flickering shadows, polygon errors and so on means your video RAM is so hot that data corruption occurs (VERY bad!). I've had that happen pretty often on hot days with my Radeon 8500, black polygons would start to flicker over the scene, few seconds later the whole system froze. Do whatever you can to make it run cooler.

Yeah, I just yesterday messed around and overclocked my Geforce4400ti (because I need a new card soon anyways wink.gif ), and KDR is dead right.
Too much overclocked GPU and the game simply freezes, to much oc'ed ram and graphic errors occur.

It might run stable, but those graphic errors are probably due to too much overclocking of the ram.
