I thought I'd try and make windows run with a nice sorta black interface as seen in the "longhorn" beta's of Vista.
However it seems that hard coded into Photoshop, and a few other programs is the command to make all text black. You can't change it.
Nice one!! Can't wait for Vista to discover this little gem!

well it certainly looks like they might have used his code for the black text.
Because if the programmer used the GTK or QT GUI-toolkit, which is the lazyest option, everything is automaticly nicely integrated into your desktop style (including automatic change of the color of the letters)
Im using the UE3 at work and getting frustrated as hell cause Im painting a diffuse for a character and I cant just save my maps and see them update in realtime in the engine. I have to re import my maps to the unreal package everytime I make a change. This can be a significant time killer when painting a 2048 texture map and its taking like 60 seconds each time I re-import. Anyway I go searcing for a solution to this and talk to the lead programmer to see if theres anything he can do to fix this problem.
A few days later he comes up to me with some elaborite scheme to overcome this inconvenience but tells me he cant do it for a couple of weeks. I come to find out after a little more investigation that there is now a fucking button in a later build of the editor that will do what I need. Problem is we are so far behind on updating the build that we havent had a chance to take advantage of this update. I ask the programmer that I had spoke to about the problem in the first place "Who is in charge of syncing to the latest build?" AND ITS HIM! Im like GET TO IT YOU LAZY BASTARD!!! Its all good though no hard feelings, just something to laugh about.
