I used to live in Nebraska, we'd get clouds like that right before a tornado dropped out of them. They can be real spooky when they move around the sky like waves of the ocean. That's when you make sure there's access to a basement.
When I lived in Nebraska you would see clouds like that and usually head for shelter cause it meant a Tornado was coming . The county I grew up in had 6-20 Tornado's a year touch down in our county . Wierd thing is they never touch down in town the entire time I was growing up . You see a lot of wierd stuff before Tornados the wierdest being wall clouds ..a wall of dust and debree moving across the planes looking as though it is swallowing everything because it's so thick you can't see past it ...but inside a tornado is hiding ..the tempature drops like 20-30 degrees in a split second once the wall cloud hits ..it was always freaky
wow, those are really weird looking. a week or so ago there was some weird cloud activity going on here. North of my house was one solid cloud going as far east and west as you could see. South of it was blue skies, not a single cloud. Looked like something out of independence day.

Sometimes very ominous in appearance, mammatus clouds are harmless and do not mean that a tornado is about to form; a commonly held misconception. In fact, mammatus are usually seen after the worst of a thunderstorm has passed.
this is the first time i've even heard of lenticular clouds, but i could beleive that they hide alien ships.
