OLED screens are massively expensive, though, especially full-color ones, so Id say this is just someone having a good ideaa great idea, actually. When this becomes affordable, well see this happen.
I got this one at the moment...and i have to say...i like it a lot. Scissor keys, slick design and dirt cheap.
What's the deal with keyboards still having those high keys? I mean, back in the day, you had the high keys because the hammer of your typewriter actually had to swing all the way over to the paper. Nowadays it's just a bother, imo...Scissorkeys 4TW.
However, i can understand that this particular keyboard would need high keys, since it needs room for the LEDs (?). Nice to see they took the illuminated keyboard idea and took it further though
To rich for me. Not that I can't afford it, but I can't justify to myself that much money for a keyboard....even if it IS that cool. Especially for an initial release.

i wants one,precious
Very cool idea. I can imagine that it will be very expensive if they go to market with it.
You all realize that is a 3d modeled proto-type and not a pic of an actual working version, right?

I'm sure you're probably right, but it is a VERY good rendering. Looked real enough to me & many of us & we're professional 3d artists!
Go to the other end of the spectrum, though:

I've been considering getting one of those for quite a while...
those are pretty cool tho.
some new info. basically it's in the planning stages.
this image made my hips gyrate uncontrollably.
Told him I was getting one anyway to crack the face of a key. We both had a laugh.
I use an old(oldest thing on my desktop actually) clicky IBM keyboard, they built this thing to last.
