Hey Guys, well, I decided since Im on the last steps of my Rhino berserker, I would try to get another concept out of my head.
This is an Anga swordsman. I do believe "Anga" is Samoan for shark, so I thought it would be a cool name for my Shark Race. Here is the concept and the Model. There are a few design differences in the model, They are on purpose. Crits are welcome and valued.

But looking at that picture now it's clear I need to bend the nose down a bit more.
I will try to get to uv mapping today.
Looking at it now, the feet might be a tad too big.
Teeth in his mouth and teeth on his blade will be alpha'd.
here is some progress, Im gonna move on to the weapon, hopefully I can get it all near done tonight so I can just do minor tweaks over the week and get all the renders done for the comp.
Could you tell us how you got the freckling on the skin?
If you haven't messed around with the brush settings yet, you should set aside a few hours for it, you'll find some great uses for it. You can even set hue-shifts etc...
I'd keep at it, the back looks really unfinished compared to the rest and overall the muscles might look better if you render them sharper.
if you rig him up, make him fight the rhino! I'm sure a shark-man and a rhino-man would often encounter each other in the wild.
I agree, a fight render needs to be made.
I'd say my biggest crit is that his chest should be armored some how, with how armored the rest of him is.
Anywho it looks sweet so far man.
The only other problem I see is that he'd have a tough time gripping those weapons. (His opposible thumbs would be rendered fairly useless by the skin between them.)

goes to show being able to texture really good goes a long way to making a good model into a sick model.
i was a little dubious about the weapons in the first screenshot you have of them but that "blade" texture you put on them makes them look really good the texture kinda gives the impression that the blade could really actually cut through something and seem dangerous.
