Project name:
Lugaru 2
Brief description:
Lugaru 2 is the sequel to Lugaru (
http://www.wolfire.com/lugaru.html), a shareware third-person hand-to-hand combat title. It was more popular than expected, so I am going to make a sequel with a full team so that it can reach its full potential.
Target aim:
Shareware or retail, depending on quality and publisher interest
Compensation:
I can pay up front, or a percentage of the profits, or some combination.
Technology:
Lugaru 2 will use the Phoenix engine, which is currently in development by Wolfire Software. It is written in C++, uses OpenGL and SDL, and runs on Windows XP or Mac OS X. Models, textures, and sounds can be converted from essentially any format, but animations will be done with a proprietary Phoenix animation editor.
Talent needed:
Modeller:
Characters, clothes, trees, rocks, plants, weapons, primitive buildings
You must be able to create models at several levels of detail, and build UV maps with minimal stretching or seams.
Team structure:

User Interface Artist:

Lugaru 2 takes place where Lugaru left off; Turner the warrior rabbit has overthrown the corrupt monarchy, and beaten the wolves into submission. However, after killing everyone responsible for the death of his family, he no longer even has his anger to guide him, and wanders the island of Lugaru in search of a cause to restore meaning to his shattered life.
While Lugaru was more of a traditional linear action-adventure game, Lugaru 2 will give the player a lot more freedom to choose what to do next, like in Vampire: Bloodlines, or Fallout 2. However, it will keep, and expand upon, the fighting system that made Lugaru so successful.
