Here in the US of my A ... Vegas is fun like no other city but New York City is up there . I don't think he would get much from Yellowstone since he lives in Seattle and it's all foresty up here anyways. Though if you guys did wanna take a short trip you could come up a bit North to the Fidalgo Islands here in washington . It's freaking gorgeous and you could hike around Deception pass . I can give you details about the area if you like . It might make a good weekend trip for yah .
I would also imagine Washington DC would be pretty awesome with all the meuseums and monuments and such .
I recently went to Lake Powell for a family reunion. Absolultely gorgeous area.
On the way there we stopped by Vegas (had a very good time even on my broke-ass budget) and Zion National Park (another *absolutely gorgeous* area to visit).
Stopped by the Grand Canyon on the return trip and despite my vette's fuel pump giving up the ghost, I saw enough at the first stop (desert view) to want to go back some day. We stopped by Flagstaff, AZ, to get the vette fixed; fun town. Stay out of Sedona though, nothing but a oven-hot tourist trap... though it was a beautiful view outside the town, so maybe worth the drive out from Flagstaff.
Home of the worlds largest waterpark (Schlitterbahn), along with 2 rivers(Comal and Guadalupe) and Canyon Lake. I live here on the Guadalupe, and this place is an amazing tourist town.
Velencia California + San Diego first you hit Six Flags Magic Mountain then you drive down to San Diego in your rented car and go to San Diego zoo and Sea World !!.. Yay
I've enjoyed my tripes to Paris and Bruges. Ireland is a storming holiday, especially if you hire a car and hav a driving holiday. I enjoyed Venice, but wished I had spent less time there and some time on the Italian mainland.
I'm hoping to head off to Japan next year, and Japan or Russia have both been earmarked for our honeymooon.
Next year there is the good chance of a lot of crunch, so we're considering a few long weekends rather than 2 longer holidays. I was hopinh to pop back to NYC, and perhaps Prague, Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona.

I've heard numerous bad tale of trips to DC, plus I dont give a shit about all that political history stuff there anyway.

9/13 was probably the safest day to fly. Hell they need the biz.

Ireland was great, except for the car mosh-pits called roundabouts. I've only experience one in the US, Summerfield Circle in New Jersey.
