E-Reels?

Can anyone tell me about how i could get my demo reel on the net? Its somewhat of a time sensitve thing so i cant exactly create a whole web page for it. Im wondering if theres some file hosting site i can just send it to so an employer can browse it, sorta like imageshack but for movies....

Id like to take a professional approach, ive been given the option to either send the reel via mail on VHS, or the electronic alternative. Im not gonna drop the whole situation so if theres any opinions or info id like to hear em.

your best bet is to buy webhosting, or find a friend who already has one. with a good amount of bandwidth. none of the movie hosting sites I've found work properly.

if you only need to send a link to one video, for one person to download, someone here could probably donate the space temporarily. or, start licking those stamps.

Either get a free host like Tripod or Geoshitties or get a cheap host. Generally paid-for should be the way to go, makes a much better impression and is more "durable" (looser bandwidth restrictions, allows hotlinking, etc).

Can you ask if you could email them the reel? Most ISP-provided email accounts don't have a limit on attachment size.

You could make a fresh new one-off Gmail account, use the "Gmail Drive" plugin to send the file to GMail, then give the guys at the company the login and password? Just set it to something like "badge-reel@gmail.com" and the password as the company name, or something. Then they can just login to the account and download the file.

That's probably more of a last-ditch thing... but it's free. I have GMail invites if you need one.

I can already imagine the reaction to the GMail idea: "Um... login? Naah, too lazy. NEXT!"

Yup, most likely. But it might be worth a try if nothing else can be worked out.
