Since a few days ago the new TV campaign of JobsInTheUs has started to broadcast in 4 US States so far (Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont)
2 months ago I supplied the commercial company CGcraft (
www.cgcraft.com) with a new lead character 3D model. The lead character Jake the gorilla has been modeled in 3D-Max and was build to perform better facial animation then the previous tv spot.
This is the first time my work gets featured on television, and already tons of people must have seen it.
I can't show the model renders yet I think, I will hear from the copyright holders when I'm allowed to show them here and on my website. (don't bother, still not up :P)
The commercial can be seen here, and requires the Quicktime plugin, enjoy:

Hey Jelmer, Christophe here. Yes, Jelmer did a great job in revamping the face of the Gorilla for us.
I am the owner of cgCraft and the one who worked on the animation. We were not very happy with the cloth simulation, and should have just pulled it, but at the last minute it had to be in there. So the show had to go on.
We are constantly working on refining facial animation, and need to build better facial rigs then just using morph targets. So we improve with each passing step.
We have completed a new 5 second spot, which I can post for you guys to check out in the next day or two.
These commercials get a lot of exposure in the New England states. Thanx again Jelmer. If anyone has any questions about the animation...shoot!
take care,
Christophe DeGregory
