I haven't had that many interviews, but I've had a couple of odd questions.

- How many McDonalds do you think are in the US?

- If a beaver came into the office and kissed your ex-girlfriend, would you get mad?

Meh. Not that great, but sure as hell weren't expecting them. Anyone else have some they'd like to share?

"Do you want to work here?" Followed by a look of surprise and relief.

My favorite interview moment was when 2 art leads started fighting and arguing during my interview at 2015....that was classic.

The McDonalds question is not meant to have a 'right' ansewer. Like "how many quarters stacked on top of each other would it take to reach the moon?" it is simply a means of seeing how good you are at approaching a problem. Saying something like "Well, I'd say there's at least X number of McDonalds in an average sized city in the US and there are Y number of total cities, so..." is far enough to be deemed 'correct' in an employer's eyes.

It just shows you can think something through.

But back on topic, I was once handed a pen and asked to 'sell' it to my future boss for a retail job. Had a good time with that one... *rolls eyes*

those questions are important,if we would have asked them during the interviewing process we would have never hired the most dull/annoying person on earth

1. I never eat fast food, and can't understand how a fast food chain with such shitty tasting food could thrive so well. So you can imagine how I feel when some one asks how many could be found in the US when I cringe at the site of one chicken nugget. But in an poor attempt to properly kiss your ass, I would have to guess more than enough to tragically alter the eating habits of many Americans leading to a unreasonable increased in income for the medical industry which in turn sticks it back up our pooper with poor health care.
