I got a Job

Unfortunately I dont know many people here...but I hope to get to know more of you and make some friends..
I recently landed a game art Job at Gearbox Software in Dallas...
I've done freelance work on and off for years, most notably concept work for UT2K4.....but this is my first full time studio gig. So far its been a blast! I'm loving it and hoping that this works out for me.

Hey! Congrats! are you going full time there or are in the COGS program? I applied for the COGS program awhile back, never heard a word, that's ok, I still need more practice and skill. Anyways, congrats again, I hear they are one of the few good companies here in the metroplex to work for.

thanks everyone...it feels good to be employed but in typical game studio fashion it would seem that I have joined the team during crunch....work 10-12 hour days already in my first week..
its all good though, they really hooked me up nice office with a view, new computer with the latest accessories and a 21" LCD monitor...its a really cool place and everyone seems exceptionaly nice, good vibe and good atmosphere. I'm working on game art( modelling and mapping ) for the new brothers in arms sequel. beyond that I 'm not sure what I'll be doing. I'm not part of the COGS program, though I've heard good things about it.
