as a former shitty bass player i think thats over kill, claypool is one of my favorite bass players mostly because of the unique style of music he chooses to play, he comonly stitches up between 6 and 4 strings and sounds jsut as awesome on each

Yes, Claypool is my idol, even though I don't play bass (or any instrument, for that matter). It's more than just his bass playing, he seems like a cool guy in general. I saw Primus in concert about a year and a half ago, and I'd like to see him at the High Sierra Music Fest in Quincy which is about 80 miles from here (he's played there the last couple years). Unfortunately I can't go .
As for this Jean Baudin guy, I find it impressive that he is even able to play a 9-string bass. That's crazy. Is there a way I can get ahold of more of his stuff? His site wasn't very organized and I don't feel like reading all of his news posts.

However that is a very cool guitar... retro customness!
I think Charlie Hunter wins, though:
He plays bass and rhythm/lead guitar at the same time. Jazz, though. But nice music!
*plays "jerry was a race car driver"*

As usual, it takes a guitarist to define groove
