The 4400

I just rented the first season last night. I have to say I was impressed. This is some good stuff right here. Sure, it plays like the X-Files but thats what attracts me to it. The writing seems decent with only a few corny moments in the 5 episodes I've seen. The characters are all interesting and I actually give a damn about most of them. Something that I don't find in TV or film much these days. My only gripe is that the secret of the 4400 seemed to be disclosed to soon. I guess they were afraid of not being picked up for another season so they had to give the viewer some closure. Doesn't matter though, I'm sure I'll enjoy following the lives of the remaining 4400 and I cannot wait until Sunday. Dammit, I never thought I'd be so hyped over another TV show. The last show I remember biting at the bit for the next episode to air was the X-Files. Well, any show with "Keys" from E.T. and a creepy little girl who can see the future gets my vote So, does anyone else watch it? opinions?

i watched the whole thing when they did a marathon of it a few months back, i thought it was good but i'd have to say the ending came with a slice of cheese, but i think its because of what you said they needed to end it somehow incase they didnt get picked up again. i didnt realize they were doing a 2nd season till i saw a commercial for it. it's going to be on monday nights? i know there's another show coming out that has to do with an alien invasion, hopefully that will be cool too.

My wife really got into this show last summer. Ashame it was only a few episodes. Looking forward to seeing it continue. Hopefully it'll tide us over till Lost starts up again.
