Seeing as it got fairly shitty reviews, I thought I'd stick up for it as I thought it was a great film. It seems to me every critic these days wants every flick to be a dramatic masterpiece or else it's only mediocre. By far Sandler/Rocks best films of the past few years. It didn't just make me giggle, I almost cried laughing a couple times. Definitely worth seeing.

Well, if it was good enough for Burt Reynolds to slap a reporter at the premier, then I guess I should eventually go see it. I've never seen the original, though (hopefully Reynolds doesn't surf these boards

Burt slapping a reporter is enough of a reason for me not to see the movie. I don't like giving money to anyone who's a bigger asshole than I am.

I will go to see this movie. I saw the original and the preview for this looks pretty funny. As for Burt, a discussion goes on whether he just lightly slapped the guy in a humerous way or not and frankly, who cares.

As a related aside, that video was really fucking nasty. It actually quite disturbed me. There was a look on Reynolds 'way too much surgery' face that was distinctly unpleasent. The way he bit on his lower lip, that showed intense pure rage at this guy. For really nothing at all. The whole scene was really ugly and it made me terrified of getting old. If I become a cranky old man and slap people around the face just because Im old and they're young and I resent them for it, please put me down. kthnx

p.s you would have to pay me massive sums of cash to sit through this movie. And even then I wouldn't go. I'd run away laughing, rich.

Daz....that clears things up a bit. I never thought much of Burt anyway. I like Adam Sandler & Co. pretty much though and the previews DO look funny. I'll prolly still go see it.

ahahah I worked on this movie. Thanks for liking it! It is doing surprisingly well in theaters, opening weekend made 60+ million which is amazing for the type of film it is. It is MTV's biggest opener and they are now arm locked with happy madison and sony and two new rock/sandler movies are already in preproduction.
