did you model it using triangles or quads, because if it were modeled with quads you could apply some lovely sub-patches to it and make him all smooth and nice.
modeled it with quads, as you can see :P. Not sure what sub-patches are :S.
Only thing left right now is to give the head some kinda of design, it was just a placholder untill i got the body finished, trust me, tehre is no way im going to skin a face onto a sphere....
Adding some dirt, rust & scracthes will make it look much nicer.
The metal is too plain and washed out, uve also done too much highlighting on the edges of the metal (claws and knees for eg.) Try and think what part will have the most contact and base ur highlighting on that.
Cute robot! The alt color's definately my fav too, something about the red adds a bit more contrast that the blue one seems to be lacking, especially in the eye area.
