I personally find my eye most drawn toward the lion head/gargoyle statue supporting the rubble more then anything.

I rather like this image, it has the tendancy to set off that part of my brain that detects disturbing shit. It's now my new background.

I don't why but it reminds me of a cover of one of Linkin Park's albums.

Aside from that, I think it's pretty cool. Although, I would have thought that the castle could also be in ruins like most of the wallpaper.

Nice, but very confusing and I personally prefer my backgrounds inverted (white on mostly black instead of black on mostly white), which is something I usally do myself with all backgrouns like this.

Not sure if you have read it, but if you scroll down to Focus Points in Niklas Jansons art tutorial you will get some quick pointers that you can use if you want to lessen the confusion in your next background.
