here's what i've been working on in my spare time lately. the pic serves as a link to a larger image which shows off more facial poses.
for this characters head i've only used game-engine compatible stuff: alphamaps, normalmaps, specular and gloss. the facial rig consists of bones and no morphs, the hair is animated via clothsim and baked down to bones by the press of a button. the head with hair, eyes and mouth interior counts up to around 4500 or so triangles.
i've already started animating a small sequence and will post it as soon as it's ready.

i have to say that i don´t realy like the "design" of the head.. but the hair looks fantastic and the overall feeling of the skin.. but maybe a bit too tone in tone.. i i´d love to see him in motion !!
What would it look like with the hair a darker tone? I think the light colored eyebrows are blending in too much with the flesh tones, giving him a bald face look.
Other than that it looks pretty neat.
thanks for the crits & praises so far. i'm currently improving facial deformations and create my set of poses for animating. will update.
hm only thing that if find a bit strange is the fluttering of the hair at the beginning
i could be wrong tho.. maybe post a wireframe?
new test.
He could use a pet dentist though
Nice job.
