I've got an interview for a college course next week and I need a portfolio. Nothing special, just a small sample to give them an idea of what level I'm working at and what interests me etc etc. Here's some of my work, it'd be a great help if any of you could give me some crits so I can improve these pieces.

This is a skin for the Fleet Q3 model.

This is a comic book/Sin City style skin for one of the UT2003 models.

For the last 2 images, I would recommend getting an artistic anatomy book and doing some drawings from life or from photographs to get a better idea of the way things fit together. They both look good and I can tell they are meant to be stylised after the GTAIII designs, but they just don't seem solid. The way different things connect together is unrealistic and the perspective is inconsistent. For example, the face has some bits that seem to be pointing towards the viewer, some point to either side randomly. The ear lets me know it is 3/4 perspective, however I do not see the sillhouette of the cheekbone/brow/nose that I should see on the opposite side, its just straight. The eye on the ear-side is also smaller than the other one, which is opposite of the way perspective should work. I think if you picked up an anatomy book or a figure drawing book your skill would increase dramatically within a few days, I just got Bridgeman's Constructive Anatomy and its great, but there are several other great ones as well, surely someone else can share a suggestion?

The sin-city skin looks good, no further comment.

The fat head is all muddy and the colors don't go well together, I wish I could tell you more about it or help you, but I am not a great skinner myself so I will leave that to someone more experienced.
