DAM Consultants is seeking 3D Previs Artist/Animator for work on an undisclosed feature film.
3D PREVIS ARTIST/ANIMATOR

Los Angeles, CA
Contract Type
Full-time, Onsite Contract
Contract Duration
Approximately 2 months, starting on May 16th, 2005
Primary Objective
To complete all animation tasks given to you by the 3D Previs Supervisor and communicate your progress
Key Responsibilities
Consult with 3D Lead and Supervisor
Modeling, texturing, camera set up, lighting and animation as instructed
Liaison directly with the supervisor/lead and the VFX Coordinator
Meet all deadlines and communicate status on a daily basis
Make use of in-house technical resources
File all work electronically in the designated areas to file naming convention standards
Miscellaneous visual effects duties as required
Complete and submit weekly timesheets and R & D forms as necessary
Candidates must be local here in Los Angeles or within reasonable commuting distance
Candidates must be willing to work for a pay rate in the $20 - $30/hour range for regular hours + time and a half for overtime
Candidates must be available to start work on Monday 5/16/05 and work for about two months
Candidates must be able to hit the ground running using 3DS Max
Candidates must be able to provide a demo reel with a shot breakdown
Essential Criteria
Solid experience with 3D Studio Max
Previous experience doing previs animations
Creative mind-set
Artistic ability
Excellent communication skills with Lead / Supervisor
Deadline oriented
