DAM Consultants is currently looking for an experienced 3DS Max Tools Scripter for work on a video game cinematics project for one of our clients in LA/Long Beach area. In order to be considered for this position, potential candidates MUST meet the following criteria:
~ Candidates MUST be located within reasonable commuting distance to Long Beach, CA
~ Candidates MUST have a minimum of 2 years of solid experience coding in MaxScript
~ Candidates MUST be able to work in a full-time, onsite capacity for up to 4 months for this contract position and available to start within 2-3 weeks
~ We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time

Job Summary
The Max Tools Scripter is responsible for proactively seeking out inefficiencies and problems in existing processes as well as potential problems. The Technical Artist will provide tool development and process solutions that work in tandem with multiple processes and pipelines for artists, animators and designers. Helps to track efficiency of asset pipeline and processes throughout the life of the project, improving and enhancing them where necessary. Can fully understand and troubleshoot asset pipelines and processes in use. Check assets for technical integrity before integrating them to the game cinematics.
Technical Skills & Experience
Must have solid understanding and demonstrated ability to work on 3DS Max
Must be able to work comfortably and develop art related tools, script and code for 3DS Max
Experience with writing shaders for 3DS Max
Strong Knowledge of Particle systems, environmental effects, explosions, cloth simulations, IK set up and dynamics
Multiple years of experience in video game or film industries
Demo reel showing skills in creating particle, explosion-type effects
