This is a great start! You might not need all those extra edges in the back of the knee.
Do you plan to take this character further with accessories, such as torn hanging cloth and possibly egyptian or other cultural adornments? The right gear could make this character fantastic!
Actually, I do. After seeing Galdiator (again) I had become enlightened. I'm currently working on all sorts of variations and and accessories for him, as well as different stages of decay.
However, I'm still looking for ideas. If anyone has a pic of armor or clothing they think he'd look spiffy in, please post it.
Very realistic. cool. The Proportions might be off a bit, but it's hard to tell because corpses like this have odd shapes to them. Again, very realistic!
Hmm, your right. His upper body does have larger proportions compaired to his legs. I'll fix that.
Hmm, after looking at his face a bit, I think I could really make it look better. Like.... much better. Unfortunatly, I'm studying for the ACT test and I'm not allowed on my old comp. I can show you the template I made and sjow it. twas a transition from a skeleton to a mummy, and I left the skull and the ribcage alone while I was adding skin. Looks MUCH better. I should post it tomorrow.
i think it's coming together nicely, makkon. also, i figure you might like to know that i was browsing the forum and really liked the look of your model, and so i pulled one of the screencaps into photoshop, manipulated, filtered, and then painted over it. this is the result for last week's concept challenge. not a whole lot of the original left, but i think you can still see the very narrow hips and general proportions of an early version of this model
in any case, keep it up, i'm keen on seeing this guy finished.
I think you should go back to the old head, it had a much better mummified look. though I think you should keep the mouth of the new one, and put the eyes and nose of the old one on it, I think it would look good.
I noticed the anatomy was off before, but with that armor, the legs stand out so small and stumpy. Please fix this as all I can do is look at those tiny legs, and not appreciate the rest of your model.
is that for Mercury Sky? hmm looks liek the chest is wasteing alot of polies you might want to reduce that or use them to build ribs on it makkon hope that helps
Vince: Copied? If you think so, why not? however I just used his stuff as ref, otherwise I wouldn't have planned several other designs for this charatcer anyway. This is just of of many designs that I had planned, and I'm doing this one first because I find it the most interesting. Besides, his samurai doesn't have skin, nor is his armor historically accurate.
I do respect SouL, and I'm sorry if I have offended him somehow
beserkevalk209: No, as far as I can tell, MC is no longer active, and it was a sci-fi based.
<<well, it looks good. but it's pretty obvious that you copied the design from SouL.>> soul copies and bases most of his ideas off japanes vidoe games liek final fantasy and devil may cry, so zombies are in this genre too.
actuallly he didnt, i think soul ideas arent the most orginal(no offense) and zombies are populer in every genre so no hes new anyways, and if he did it not really souls idea it just a common zombie that most poeple find a tipical in this community, but yeha it very coincedental nontheless lol!
Solid start on the texture! Maybe a little early to critique, but he has quite a few more teeth than normal. If you're hoping to up the creep factor then maybe they should stay. His choppers kinda reminded me of the serial killer/monster in The Cell, where he has tons of short flat teeth, if you've seen that.

Upper body looks a little bit too tall to me compared to his legs but that might be my sleepy eyes.
MORE !!!

Btw, his skull could use some asymmetry, maybe some wrapping going diagnolly across his nose/mouth.
As for asymmetry, that's a good Idea.

this is great work , i actually prefer it without the armour , the head shots at the top are great, lets see this baby textured.
Awaiting more updates
