BF92 bluescreens my pc!

OK this is really weird. All of a sudden now, when I try and play BF or BFDC, my machine bluescreens. It kills it.

I've not update any hardware or software at all. I have the feeling it might be something to do with punkbuster. 'cos usually before the bluescreen I get a punkbuster kick message.

Anyone know of any punkbuster updates or anything? I googled it and it says the latest BF patch ( 1.21 ) has the lastest punkbuster. Which I have. So Im stumped. I literally cannot play without it bluescreening. Weird!

They updated when there was a big clantournament in Sweden (on the 28/4) and that caused a whole lot of problems for everyone with crashes and people getting disconnected from the server. Our clan had to finish our match without PB enabled. No idea if this has anything to do with anything...

Roger that. Dowload the "PB Web" into your PB folder in BF1942. PB Web Follow the attached directions and let it do it's thing. Also, have you updated your video and audio drivers? Do you play Desert Combat? That mod Rawks!!

*edit* Bugger, this isn't working. Did the update and still getting kicked and bluescreened. Will try again I suppose.

Well I have my Harrier in Desert Combat, but Im damned If I can fly her yet!

Full reverse will take you straight up. Otherwise it takes off like a regular jet with forward thrust and stick control. You do have a joystick don't you?

Me too. Perhaps this is why I crash them. Well, Helicopter more so really.

Anyway, this is really weird. The issue is fixed for BF classic. I played last night on several servers no problem. But I still get kicked and / or bluscreened on Desert Combat servers

OK I lied. It doesn't work with Battlefield classic either. I must have just been on a server with punkbuster not enabled.

So this totally sucks. I cant play at all pretty much. I get kicked, or bluescreened. One or the other. Stumped!

Daz: Did you get PBWeb? You drop it in the pb folder then click on it. It runs a Dos program and takes a few minutes searching and checking stuff. I've never gotten a blue screen. You may have to un-install everyting and start from scratch.

Yeah I did all that Sal. Several times over. Dumped the pbweb exe into the pb folder, ran the DOS window and it said it updated a bunch of stuff. It lies to me I tell you!!!
So I did it a few times more. Guess Im looking at a complete re-install thanks!
