there was a thread on here a while back (i believe) where someone went over creating a material / shader in UT2k4 for car paint.. anyone happen to have that laying about or remember what the setup was?
That was me. it was before the board crash. In short it is a shader based on two cubic environments maps, copbined with a third as a mask. the trick is the combiner mask is a "Camera" oriented Black and Wite Cubic map where black is the "floor and center, and white is the sky, and the horizon line is a smooth gradient between the two.
