This is interesting. You won’t find Valve games in Retail Stores. Now all their games must be purchased online through Steam. I’m wonder if this marketing model will work or will their sales drop off, I guess time will tell.

and i edited your post to clear up the Value = Valve confusion. i'm interested to see if Valve goes digital distribution only, though I can't see that being viable for (this generation) of console games.
