Malaria isn't caused by a virus, but by a small 'animal' (no not a bacterium)... that is one of the reasons why all attempts to find a vaccine against it have failed so far (but there is a promising result working with a 'relative' of it, that infects mice).

Yeah, those RE4 parasite scenes at first reminded me of Malaria. Nasty little fuckers whose eggs get injected into your bloodstream by mosquitoes, then they hatch and start eating your bloodcells. Fortunately they don't pop out of your head and start flailing tentacles at people...

Yeah, I would say everyone should pick up the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. It's a great book,and is written in a serious manner. I mean, my girlfriend and I even have plans for if/when the zombie apocalypse happens.

Though it would be interesting if that was real. Because then, I'd have to find every little bit of media about the conflict. Because I do love zombies!
